Small Business Marketing Webinar

I am teaming up with Kelly Hodsdon, of Intentional Internet, to put on a six week course for small business who want to market online to clients / costumers in their immediate geographical area.

Kelly and I discovered early on how to get top ranking results in Google Local, the listings next to the map when you search for a local service or product.   This is just one of the great benefits your going to get from this course.  We’re going to teach you what you need to do to your Website to rank highly in the search engines; we’ll show you the best places to create additional pages for FREE on other sites that will show up for your business, we’ll teach you how which social media sites are worth your time, which aren’t and how to know the difference.  We’re also going to show you how to track results.

How to know if this course is for you:

  • You’re a small business
  • You make money from clients or customers in your geographical area
  • You have a limited marketing budget
  • You have a limited amount of time for marketing
  • You need a more prominent web presence

If the above applies to you, check out our page at  Local Search Advantage

WordPress Training

One of my favorite things to do is teach.  I’ve been teaching other people how to work with WordPress for years.  That’s why I was really excited when Kim, The WordPress Chick, invited me to be a co-instructor with her for WordPress Spring Training.

In six weeks of Webinars we’re going to teach you WordPress from A to Z.  Never again will you need to hire someone to install your site, update it the next time WordPress comes out with a new version.  We’re going to clear up all those little mysteries like what the heck a ping is.  Way more than that though we’re going to teach you how to use WordPress as a marketing and promotion tool.  You’ll learn how to make it an optimized machine for attracting search engines and how to promote with social networks.

I am really excited about this class and if you’re at all curious about the hottest content management system of the decade than you’ll want to join us for this course.  To register just go to http://wordpressspringtraining.com

Update:  This course is over but you can join Kim and myself at the Wordpress Training Cafe where you’ll not only find all the great content from the spring training, but also support forums, free themes, on going monthly trainings and much more.  Hope to see you at the cafe.

Alaska Airlines Wants to Send Me to Mexico

I was  a little surprised to read down my Alaska Airlines Insider Email and find that they had a bargain for Mexico vacations in the middle of a Swine Flu outbreak when the US Gov has just advised not going there unless you absolutely must.
